National Organization of Register Martial Arts League

We are headed back to the hills of Western Maryland for a ninth year of fun and training at the NORMAL Challenge Camp.

The National Organization of Registered Martial Arts League will co-sponsor the camp. We will plan for four fun filled recreational and educational days of camp activities along with some of the best Martial Arts instruction available in the United States.

All Styles of Martial Arts as well as all belt ranks are invited to join us.  We recommend that all the campers be at least 7 years old and have been away from home prior to this camp.  Parents are encouraged to attend and to participate  in the weekend of activities.

For those wondering what this is about???? It's a weekend of fun and martial arts! If you like to train outdoors, if you like to learn more skills, if you like campfires, and if you like to meet and hang out with like minded martial arts junkies, then this is the weekend for you.

Who teaches

The set up is any attending instructor is invited to teach a session on whatever they would like(usually something they specialize in or that is unique to their art).

Past sessions have included seminars on Weaponery,Hap Ki Do, Tae Kwon Do, Shotokan, Kung Fu, Master Eric Lee Fight Chorography, Jung Sim Do Korean Karate Chung Series Bo Forms, Master Garry Holman's American Freestyle System Forms, Breaking, Grappling, Tournament Fighting,Team Demonstration techniques and stick fighting exercises.

Training Sessions Sessions last from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending upon the topic.

We arrive on Friday for camp morning for orientation and train all day Saturday until late afternoon and break for Camp Champ Karate Tournament and other camp activities. Sunday we train again until late afternoon and break for Camp Champ Karate Tournament and other camp activities.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Camp Champ Contest
This is a Karate tournament for campers and is separated by age and rank of campers. Awards are supplied by Mr. G's Southern LLC Trophy Company

Team Fishing Derby
Each Team will participate in the Fishing Derby. Each fish caught will be measured and the inches add together to determined which team has caught the biggest fish.

Team Wilderness Challenge Course
This is a ropes and obstacle course all in one. Each team will register two times and select their best time for the challenge.

Team Scavenger Hunt
This is by far one of the most difficult events all teams are given a list of items to find during the time set aside for the hunt.
